I have enjoyed Lucy’s vibrancy and energy and regained my confidence whilst singing. Post Covid infection and during the ageing process my voice has deteriorated. But I have convinced myself that there is still something there to work on and with Lucy’s enthusiasm, I will continue!

About bekesbourne jubilate choir

Learn to Sing

Lucy started a Learn to Sing Course at Bekesbourne Village Hall back in January 2025.  Very quickly the course sold out and there was a waiting list for two further courses after that.  Lucy discovered there was a high demand for a regular singing group and so Bekesbourne Jubilate Choir was born!

Our Mission

Our mission is exactly the same as Barham Jubilate Choir - to have fun, singing the best music, in a lovely setting and enjoy the company of friends old and new.  We are not fussy about perfection, although Lucy's aim is always to make the best sound we possibly can.

Friendships

Just like in Barham, we start every week with a cuppa and a natter.  If you arrive by public transport or lift share, the refreshments are on Lucy!  It's a family affair; Lucy's Mum serves the tea and we have plenty of couples, best friends and siblings who enjoy coming together.  But best of all, genuine friendships are made between people who had previously never met.  Everyone is welcome - especially if you are coming by yourself.  We can't wait to welcome you!

Parking

There is plenty of free parking at Bekesbourne Village Hall but if you arrive slightly late and the car park is full, there is a Pay & Display carpark at Bekesbourne Station.
